Rádios Indígenas: Brazil’s Indigenous Language Broadcasting Landscape

This article offers a critical review of Brazil’s Indigenous language broadcasting landscape, from traditional analogue transmission to podcasts and online radio. The study introduces linguistic diversity locates the current vitality languages within constitutional provisions legislation that both support impede programming in other than Portuguese. Following an assessment media penetration uptake, contrastive four Brazilian radio stations have either substantial content or dedicated focus on issues, concludes with outlook challenges for this sector.
